The goal of this session is to provide teachers with an opportunity to share and explore various ways that they can use the arts as a vehicle to teach, motivate, and assess all students. ;Teachers will explore and share the creative ways that students can take ownership of their learning through incorporating various forms of the arts (visual arts, dance/movement, drama, music, poetry, and storytelling). Teachers will be provided a small resource packet of ideas for how to integrate each art form and will be able to individualize the ideas to their own content/subject area. Teachers can come with a lesson or two in mind that they are looking to enhance and excite the learners. Teachers are also encouraged to come and share ideas/resources with others on the different ways they have used the arts to teach or assess students in their own classroom. ;This session is available for any teacher for all grade levels and subjects that is seeking to explore new and creative ways to excite and ignite student learning.
